Becoming a Provider

Recently, the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) determined that they intend to move to a “hybrid” model of care which incorporates elements of both the Medical Homes Network (MHN) and Managed Care Organization (MCO) models of care. Therefore SCS will transition from a Fee for Service MHN program to a fully capitated managed care model that will include contracted specialists, hospitals, and ancillary providers. Current network providers can also log in to the “Already a Provider” portal and obtain practice-specific reports, the South Carolina Solutions Provider Manual, and other valuable information.
